Bio

I am a young single female living and working in the city of Nashville, TN. I am one of many transplants from a big city in the Northeast. A true carpetbagger. Though I am still very much a city girl I have come to enjoy how accessible the Nashville scene is. Whether it's a sporting event like a Predators game at the arena, Sounds game at Greer Stadium or going to a favorite bar like the Tin Roof to hear local favorites Henry and the Seahawks or the hot new band King Billy play at the Wildhorse. Parking is never a problem and Southern Hospitality is every where. I also like to take advantage of the warmer climate by spending time outdoors either hiking, jogging or biking along the many trails through Nashville's Greenways.

I have recently started a new job after spending the last 7yrs with my previous employer. I work in the insurance industry doing customer service. I have spent more than my fair share on the phones! If I stay in insurance my goal is to become an underwriter, that's where the money is at! But right now my goal is to survive the first year as a newbie!

As for my personal side; it always seems to be a "work in progress". I made a commitment a few years back to put myself out there in the dating world and local social scene and I have kept true to that. Though sometimes it feels like an ongoing battle between myself and the World, with the World winning. But I am a stubborn son of a gun and I will prevail. Every New Year since I have continued to make resolutions I can keep and have stuck to them. As a result I am now 70lbs lighter, in a better paying job with a couple of guys knocking at my door. It's not easy since someday soon I would like to find soul mate to raise a family with so I keep searching and striving forward. I have had other blogs in the past, even a previous account at Live Journal, but my entries were sporatic. I'm hoping to change that and make a real journal of my life. I also hope to meet and make friends who are doing the same. So here I am World! Take a look at me now!
